We are excited to be moving toward onboarding our new design team for the project!
We completed recruitment via a competitive RFP process and received 3 very strong proposals, including one from a joint venture that included the architecture firm that completed feasibility study and concept design, WRNS Studio. Our selection panel scored The Mark Cavagnero Associates + Kuth Ranieri Architects Joint Venture the highest during the final interview phase of recruitment.
Please join us in thanking WRNS Studio and subconsultants for their tremendous work on the project over the past several years, in partnership with Rec and Park and The Trust for Public Land!
And please join us in welcoming our new team on board, the Mark Cavagnero Associates + Kuth Ranieri Architects Joint Venture!
Mark Cavagnero Associates + Kuth Ranieri have worked on some high profile Rec and Park projects previously, including Sava Pool, Palega Recreation Center, the Randall Museum, and Balboa Pool. We are excited to start the schematic design phase of the project with them in January 2022, pending Rec and Park Commission approval in December and contract finalization.
The award of contract will be presented to the Recreation and Park Commission Capital Committee at 2 pm on Wednesday, December 1. Please feel free to join us:
