Hello neighbors! We’re excited to report that construction work to replace the field turf at Crocker Amazon has begun.
Construction will occur in three phases so that for the duration of construction there will always be access to a minimum of two fields.
Phase 1, which is in-progress now, is in the northern/upper set of fields. You can see in the photos below that the old turf has been removed and the field base system and drainage are being improved. Phase 2 work will begin early June. In the coming months, you will see us:
- Replacing field turf with new material that utilizes cork and sand infill material,
- Installing new site furnishings, including field goals and drinking fountains,
- Improving sidewalks on Geneva Avenue and parking lot accessibility improvements near the skate park.
The project is currently on schedule and slated to be completed by November 2023. Thanks for your support and stay tuned for more updates!
