Gene Friend Rec Center | Virtual Community Update and Civic Design Review
The project team has completed the design development phase of the project and is working with the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) and three cost estimating teams to update the cost estimate and complete constructability review and value engineering options.
Recreation and Parks and the Arts Commission are co-hosting an online meeting to share updates with community members on the latest facility design, project schedule, and draft public art plan. We're excited to share updates at these two meetings about the brand-new Gene Friend Recreation Center facility that will be breaking ground by early 2024:
