On Wednesday, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi announced that she had secured $3 million in federal funding for the Japantown Peace Plaza Renovation Project, which will install new paving, plantings, informal seating and more.
The Peace Plaza is an integral open space for Japantown, serving as a cultural heart and top destination for the community. Thank you Rep. Pelosi for being a champion for our parks and city! Thank you as well to Mayor London Breed for supporting this project. For more information about the project, visit the project page: https://sfrecpark.org/1154/Japantown-Peace-Plaza-Improvement
