Bay View Playground Improvements (COF)
Replace and expand the playground, install adult fitness equipment, a walking path, new park fencing, and to accommodate a new lawn area for gathering along Keith Street, relocate the baseball infield from Keith to Third Street. All improvements are north of the existing entry plaza, lawn and planters leading to Martin Luther King Junior Pool, which will remain as existing.
$5.8M project budget includes:
$179,000, Public Health Foundation; $301,836, the Community Opportunity Fund (COF) Round 4 Award; $ 375,225, Outdoor Leadership Recreation Legacy Partnership Program (ORLP) grant administered through California Parks and Recreation; in addition to Forestry Funds and General and Open Space Funds
