Bayview Playground Improvements (COF)

Scope of Work

Replaced and expanded the playground, installed adult fitness equipment, a walking path, new park fencing, and accommodated a new lawn area for gathering along Keith Street, and relocated the baseball infield from Keith to Third Street. All improvements were made north of the existing entry plaza, lawn and planters leading to Martin Luther King Junior Pool, which remain as existing.

Funding

$5.8M project budget included:

$179,000, Public Health Foundation; $301,836, the Community Opportunity Fund (COF) Round 4 Award; $ 375,225, Outdoor Leadership Recreation Legacy Partnership Program (ORLP) grant administered through California Parks and Recreation; in addition to Forestry Funds and General and Open Space Funds
