As mentioned in our update earlier this month, we paused construction after completing Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the project to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Flower Piano, September 12-21. Congratulations to all the staff and friends of the Garden for hosting such an enchanting and wildly successful event! 77,000 attendees this year! Wow!
With this year’s Flower Piano now finished, construction resumed this week with the start of Phase 3. This part of the project will include demolishing and repaving asphalt pathways near the Moon Viewing Garden, Southeast Asian Cloud Forest, and Zellerbach Garden of Perennials.
In total, this project has 5 phases, which correspond with locations around the Garden. All work is expected to be completed by late 2025.
