The McLaren Trails Priority Improvements project team has been working with the Planning Department on environmental compliance, thoroughly reviewing the proposed trail improvements and natural features restoration work alongside the activities previously authorized in the Significant Natural Resources Management Plan.
Due to an unfortunate miscommunication, Planning is requesting that a McLaren Park-wide Cultural Landscape Report be completed prior to their review of the Visitacion Avenue trail. However, this present delay affords the opportunity to consider the proposed multi-use trail as part of a larger Visitacion Avenue corridor re-envisioning.
Rec and Park is in the early phases of planning for the Visitacion Avenue Sidewalk and Streetscape project. Please join us for a Virtual Community Meeting to discuss improvements to Visitacion Avenue in McLaren Park including new sidewalks, bike lanes, and traffic calming.
