Hi neighbors! The rehabilitation work at Middle Lake continues. The scope of this project includes recontouring the lake bottom, installing a clay liner to help the lake hold water, installing an aeration system to promote the lake’s ecological health, planting lots of new plantings near the lake and wedding meadow, and extensive trail and pedestrian improvements around the lake. As of this month, our main irrigation line has been installed, the clay liner on the lake bottom is nearly complete, and the rock cascade below the casting pond is taking shape.
We’re on track to finish this project and reopen the area to the public by the beginning of next year. We'll keep you posted on our progress.
