Rec and Park staff will be presenting two related Accept and Expend resolutions to the Board of Supervisors Budget & Finance Subcommittee on Wednesday, April 28. This is part of the process for approving grants. This renovation was made possible thanks to a generous $5 million funding commitment from UCSF, who committed this grant through their Dogpatch Community Task Force to help address potential impacts from proposed UCSF projects in the neighborhood. Of that $5 million commitment, $835,000 was granted by UCSF to the Dogpatch and Northwest Potrero Hill Green Benefit District, to provide design services for the project, in close coordination with Rec and Park and as an in-kind grant to the City. The remaining $4.165 of UCSF’s $5 million commitment will be granted directly to Rec and Park as a cash grant to be used for construction of the project.
