On November 14, San Francisco residents gathered to learn more about the Great Famine Memorial Project and to share their thoughts and insights on this meaningful initiative.
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, along with the project design team and United Irish Societies of San Francisco, presented updates on Phase I of the memorial and the guiding principles shaping its design. Together, we explored the historical significance of the Great Famine and discussed how this project will honor those who endured it while providing a reflective space for the community.
Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting and contributed to this important conversation. Your feedback is invaluable as we move forward in shaping a space that embodies both remembrance and community.
Feel free to reach out with any questions.
