This month, the contractor team is working to complete planting of trees, shrubs, and natural turf sod. They are also working to complete the installation of synthetic turf and poured-in-place surfacing in the five adult exercise areas. Soon after this work is completed, we will be able to finalize a park re-opening date.
On August 15, the Rec and Park Commission approved a proposal for a simple recognition plaque to recognize core partners UCSF, the Dogpatch-NW Potrero Hill Green Benefit District, and the Eastern Neighborhoods Community Advisory Committee (ENCAC). The proposal is for a steel plaque to be affixed to a concrete seat wall at the entrance at 19th St and Minnesota St. We will be working with a local metal fabricator to create and install this plaque just prior to the park re-opening.
