Rec Center & Clubhouse Rental Info

George R. Moscone Recreation Center

We have a variety of Recreation Centers and Clubhouses with rooms available for rent. The rooms include auditoriums, multipurpose rooms, gymnasiums, and kitchens. Availability and rules vary. 

Reservations must be made a minimum of 30 days, and no more than 90 days, in advance of your requested date. Final payment must be received at least 30 days in advance of your reservation.


WEEKEND RENTALS

Indoor room rentals on Saturdays and Sundays are offered in two time slots, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., or 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. This timing allows us to accommodate more users. For weekend rentals, please use the Facility Room Directory below, or our weekend availability calendar, to see what spaces are available. If you the facility you are interested in is not included in the directory, please email RPDReservations@sfgov.org with your inquiry.

Important Considerations

  • All reservations are subject to review. Not all venues are suitable for every event.
  • Reservations outside of facility operational hours may require a minimum of three (3) hours of staffing fees.
  • The permit holder is responsible for overseeing setup and cleanup of their event, including bagging and disposing of trash offsite.
  • Indoor facilities, such as recreation centers, do not have a Dance Hall License and therefore they are not available for DJ or dancing events. 
  • Indoor rentals do not include use of any adjacent outdoor spaces. To reserve those spaces, you must obtain a separate permit. Please note that those spaces may be reserved by others.

Security Deposits

Indoor rentals require a security deposit starting at $250. The security deposit is to ensure that all terms of the permit are followed including the requirement to clean the site after use and remove all trash.
