UPDATE: Night Noise Permit and Timing
The Contractor team has confirmed that they will need the next two mornings, Tuesday, 3/18 and Wednesday, 3/19, to de-mobilize the last large rig and equipment.
This work outside of normal work hours is necessary to demobilize large drilling equipment. Equipment of this size is transported on large semi trucks. Due to the width and weights, CAL Trans requires loads of this size to cross the bay bridge prior to 6:00am. These limitations required the contractor to load out the equipment in the early mornings. Trucking activities will begin around 4:00am on these days. The contractor has updated their night noise permit request to cover these date updates.
The crew will make every attempt possible to minimize noise during this time. We recognize the inconvenience this creates for the neighbors and appreciate the patience. This is a big step towards opening the new Gene Friend Recreation Center in 2026.
We are excited to report that DSM production is complete, and we are awaiting final results and analysis to confirm required QA/QC (expected this week), after which you will start to see concrete progress (figuratively and literally) on the new building!
Thank you for your patience with this portion of construction and thank you for your support of this transformative project.
