We’re excited to share that a construction contract award for the Richmond Playground was approved by Rec and Park Commission on July 20!
Treaty Construction plans to begin work in the coming months and we’re aiming to reopen the new playground in summer 2024. I'd encourage you to check out the vision for the park's renovation here (Concept Design >>).
Please note that once construction starts, the multi-use court will be closed. The tennis and basketball courts will remain accessible via a gate south of the main 19th Avenue entrance. RPD will post signage throughout the project to clarify any changes to how the park courts are accessed.
