Since our last update in November, we are continuing to push toward substantial completion of construction and the re-opening of the park.
We have a couple big pushes left:
- Delivery and installation of wood and metal custom picnic tables and benches and replacement of damaged park signs: anticipated by January 17
- Completion of electrical and lighting improvements, including decorative catenary (string) lights along the Indiana side park pathway: anticipated by January 31
We are working to schedule a re-opening celebration for early February, pending completion of picnic tables and benches and required inspections and sign-offs.
We’ll share more details, including the date for a re-opening celebration, as soon as the dates are firm.
Site security continues to be a challenge for this project. We have alerted local law enforcement. We ask that you continue to help us keep an eye on the site, especially after hours, and report any suspicious activity to SFPD immediately.
