At the east end of Mansell Street in McLaren Park, the restroom and clubhouse building near the tennis courts was destroyed by two arson fires in the past three months. With environmental assessment now complete, demolition at Mansell East will begin this week.
Recreation and Parks has been considering the area for improvements as part of the 2020 Bond Planning and Vision Plan update that is in process. The department is now preparing a planning effort specifically for this area and will announce opportunities for public engagement in March.
