This week a crew of geotechnical engineers will drill six boreholes in the northern portion of Buena Vista Park to perform soil sampling.
This will be similar to soil sampling completed last March. Workers will use a specialized, low-dust drilling rig truck to minimize noise and air quality impacts. This work will provide us with data on soil conditions ahead of upcoming project work.
Expect short, isolated trail closures and detours at various areas in the northern portion of the park while boreholes are being dug. Workers will help direct and detour pedestrians around work zones.
Our goal is to keep trail disruptions to a minimum. Please follow all posted detours and directions from flaggers.
We expect to have the first draft of construction drawings ready to share by early next year.
