Cottage Row Mini Park

A short walk from Japantown and the Fillmore District, stroll the landscaped brick pathway and admire the charming Victorians of Cottage Row. Most of the 22 buildings, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, were built by William Hollis during the late 1860s and 1870s.

The park’s Sutter Street frontage was recently renovated through a community partnership with the Japanese Cultural Community Center of Northern California, creating a garden celebrating the Issei (first generation of Japanese in America), adding to the rich history of this site.
