About the Park
San Francisco’s first disc golf course is located in Golden Gate Park off of Marx Meadow. A tightly wooded 18-hole course, this course is fun for beginners and a challenge for experts. The course was expanded to its current permanent, 18-hole layout in 2007.

The Golden Gate Disc Golf Course was built and is maintained completely by volunteers. The SFDGC hosts course work parties every other month to keep the course looking in great shape. Work parties are a great way to get to know some new disc golfers as well as a chance to help give something back to disc golf in San Francisco. If you take the time to play the course, please take the time to volunteer.
