Aquatic Fee Increases Effective July 1, 2023
The Controller's Office of the City and County of San Francisco has set new aquatic Consumer Price Index (CPI) fee increases at 5.6 percent, effective July 1, 2023. Aquatic Fee Increases
2023 Pool Closures
All pools will be closed for in-service training on the dates below:
- August 26, 2023— 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
- October 14, 2023— 8:30 a-12:30 p.m.
- January 6, 2024— 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
A $9 million renovation project has transformed this neighborhood favorite into a state-of-the-art swimming facility featuring new community rooms for events, new mechanical and plumbing systems to improve the comfort of patrons, and a thoughtful redesign that prioritizes pedestrian safety and accessibility for all. A pool divider allows for increased programming with flexibility for recreational and lap swim, while a new mural by local artist Jason Jägel features people and animals making a splash.
Programs
Balboa Pool offers lap swim, senior swim, recreation swim, fitness and exercise classes, and lessons. Please refer to the pool schedule (PDF) for detailed class information.
