We’re excited to share that construction to renovate the exterior of Sava Pool has officially begun!
Please note that there are no current impacts to the posted pool schedule.
Work is expected to last through early 2026. Construction activities will be visible around the exterior of the building, but the project team is working to minimize any disruptions to our normal pool operations. Scaffolding is now in place and will remain throughout the duration of work.
This project focuses on restoring and improving the building envelope to protect the facility from water intrusion and weather exposure. Work on the west facade includes removing existing tile, installing a new waterproofing membrane, reapplying tile over a new cement plaster substrate, and installing new flashings at key interfaces for long-term durability and performance.
Additional limited repairs will also occur along the north and south walls, including sealing joints and reinforcing the upper corners of the tile facade to ensure a consistent and watertight enclosure.
The project is led by Rec and Park with architectural and engineering services provided by McGinnis Chen Associates.
