Twin Peaks Trail Improvement Project and Promenade Project | Construction update, August 2024

Rec Park Improvements | All Project Updates Posted on August 28, 2024

Renovation of two Twin Peaks trails continues! The trail at Noe Peak and the switchback just south of it will both be repaired and improved over the next several months.

Please be advised – Both trails will be closed while under construction. Protection fencing has been erected on both sides of the trail to define the work corridor and protect natural habitat on either side.

Since our last update at the end of June, our general Contractor, Cazadoro Construction has made significant progress. Work crews completed the demolition and removal of the old trail steps and rebar, and are now working to install new stringer stairs, box step frames, and split rail fence at the south end of Noe Peak. The box step frames were fabricated off-site to contain the pressure-treated saw dust in a controlled environment.

In the meantime, the construction document package for Twin Peaks Promenade is currently being reviewed to assure compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). This project, which will convert the closed roadway into a linear park, is expected to open for construction contact bidding in early 2025.

Thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward to sharing more updates with you as the project progresses.

Feel free to reach out with any questions.
