Last week, we kicked off the Stern Grove Playground renovation! The project will include new furnishings, accessibility improvements, and a complete makeover of the children’s play area with tree-like play structures, natural timber logs, climbing nets, swings, and a nature exploration area.
A special thanks to Supervisor Joel Engardio, San Francisco Parks Alliance, Stern Grove Festival, Miller Company Landscape Architects, Minerva Construction, and San Francisco Public Works for helping us break ground.
The renovation of Stern Grove Playground is part of the Let’sPlaySF! Initiative, a partnership between the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and the San Francisco Parks Alliance to transform 13 timeworn play areas across San Francisco.
