Herz Playground – Construction Demolition Almost Complete!

Rec Park Improvements | All Project Updates Posted on December 19, 2022

Treaty Construction is busy at work with their backhoe! Demolition is nearly complete at Herz Playground. At least 75% of materials being disposed of are sorted, reused, or recycled in compliance with San Francisco’s Recovery Plan. The playground sand was trucked over to Louis Sutter Playground for reuse in those play areas.

The next step focuses on installation of underground utilities. A new sewer line that services the restrooms, storm water drainage and other plumbing features will be installed. Trenching in the street along Visitacion Avenue will require traffic control. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, but we’ll make it as quick as possible.

We hope you have the opportunity to enjoy our parks over the of the holiday and wish you a Happy New Year!
