  1. Golden Gate Park 150th Anniversary: A Photographic Collection

    April 4, 2020 - April 3, 2021, 12:00 AM @ Harvey Milk Photo Center

This special project changed gears rather quickly in light of the current global pandemic and the project transformed from the planned classic gallery setting to a virtual gallery experience. The call for art was to capture unique sources of inspiration within this beautiful haven – a favorite spot, place, time of day, motif – that spoke to each photographer on a very personal level. We applaud the many photographers who contributed to this exhibit with their many beautiful and arresting images. View this virtual gallery at the link! Photo Courtesy of Gary Wagner

  3. Glen Canyon Park- A Virtual Stroll

    May 29, 2020 - July 31, 2020, 12:00 PM

Nestled among San Francisco’s Glen Park, Diamond Heights, and Miraloma Park neighborhoods, the 70-acre Glen Canyon Park offers a spectacular assortment of hiking options that range from a relaxing stroll to hair-raising with a view. The park encompasses the site of the first commercial manufacturing of dynamite in the U.S. It incorporates the free-flowing Islais Creek and the associated riparian habitat, an extensive grassland with adjoining trees that supports breeding pairs of red-tailed hawks and great horned owls, prominent rock outcrops, and arid patches covered by “coastal scrub” plant communities. In all, about 63 acres of the park and hollow are designated as undeveloped natural area. Take this virtual stroll of the park courtesy of photographer Jim Watkins and the Harvey Milk Photo Center at the web link.
