Update on Glen Canyon Park Rec Center: Public Art Selection: Art Proposals on display soon!

Hi Everyone!

As many of you know, an artist and art proposal was not selected from the last round of proposals for art for the Rec Center Project Renovation, so soon we are going to be reviewing three new proposals.

The finalists for the Glen Canyon Park Public Art Project are currently working on their proposals which will go on display for public comment at the Glen Park Rec Center the week of December 15th. Exact date TBD. They will also be displayed on the SFAC website here: http://www.sfartscommission.org/pubartcollection/category/public-meetings/proposals-display/

The artists will present their proposals to the artist selection panel on January 16, 2015, 10am – 2pm at 25 Van Ness Avenue, 8th floor conference room. At the meeting, the panel will select one proposal to recommend to the Arts Commission. The meeting is open to the public and will include a dedicated time for public comment. An agenda will be posted on the SFAC website at least 72 hour in advance of the meeting here: http://www.sfartscommission.org/pubartcollection/category/public-meetings/artist-selection-panels/.
