An anonymous donor has given the San Francisco Zoo $1 million to build a home for aging chimps, according to NBC Bay area. The zoo had previously set a goal of $10 million to build a habitat for the great apes and so far had not raised near enough to do so. The chimps’ names are Cobby, Minnie and Maggie. At 57, Cobby is one of the oldest in captivity anywhere.
