On September 9th, neighbors of DuPont Courts attended an informational meeting on the upcoming renovation of the DuPont Court restroom building hosted by the Recreation and Park Department at the Rochambeau Clubhouse. DuPont Courts Restroom remains closed due to an appeal of the demolition permit. A hearing date with the Appeals Board is tbd. Two tennis courts are open to the public during this time.
RPD received an appeal of the demolition permit for replacement of the free-standing restroom. DuPont Tennis Courts is now partially reopened until further notice.
We heard concerns from neighbors regarding the location of the ADA accessible ramp, the vegetation impact, and the overall look of the restroom. We will present alternatives to the current design at the next meeting.
