Garfield Square is located at Harrison and 26th Streets’. The park is approximately 169,000 square feet and has a pool building and adjacent club house, sport courts, synthetic fields for soccer, children’s play area, picnic area, landscaping, and related amenities.
The proposed project may include the renovation of the pool, pool building, and reconfiguration of park indoor facilities, improved park accessibility, and related amenities.

The project was allocated $11 million from the 2012 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond.
The renovation will take place in fall 2018.
The Garfield Pool Renovation is coming soon! The Department will be opening bids for the construction contract on June 27th. The pool and programming will remain open through the summer. Once the renovation at Balboa Pool is completed in Fall 2017, the $11 million Garfield Pool renovation and $8.2 million Rossi Pool renovation will follow. The three renovations will not overlap in an effort to serve the public with as much aquatic recreation as possible.
*UPDATE (12/11/15) – Garfield will re-open on time Saturday December 12th, 2015. Please make note Garfield Pool will be closed for maintenance from November 16th to December 12, 2015.
