National Night Out on August 1


Tuesday, August 1 is National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Rec centers and parks across the city will be participating in this event with a variety of live entertainment, arts and recreational activities and informational opportunities. The following SF Rec and Park locations will be participating:

  • Minnie & Lovie Ward Recreation Center (650 Capitol Avenue) from 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Harvey Milk Recreational Arts Center (50 Scott Street) from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Victoria Manalo Draves Park (16 Sherman Street) from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
