KCBS: Healed Hawk Released at SF Botanical Garden

KCBS’s Barbara Taylor reports:

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A red-tailed hawk that was found shot in the head with a nail gun in San Francisco last month was released back into the wild Wednesday after recovering at a San Jose animal hospital.

The injured hawk, a female juvenile that is about 6 months old, was released in the San Francisco Botanical Gardens, the same place where it was captured by rescuers on Oct. 22.
