Phil Arnold Trail Opening and Dedication on February 22!

February 22 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Phil Arnold Trail

Join us on Friday, February 22 beginning at 10 a.m. as we hold an opening celebration and dedication for the Phil Arnold Trail (formerly the Oak Woodlands Trail). The newly renovated trail in the Oak Woodlands forest of Golden Gate Park will be dedicated in honor of Phil Arnold, a longtime advocate for parks, open space and recreational trail opportunities in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. A career civil servant, Phil is also a member and chair of the Bay Ridge Trail that now connects Twin Peaks, Mount Sutro and the Oak Woodlands. The Recreation and Park Commission approved the naming in October 2018.

The event will begin on JFK Drive at Conservatory Drive East and will feature brief remarks followed by a trail tour! To RSVP, email rpdinfo@sfgov.org by Friday, February 15!
