National AIDS Memorial Grove On-going Volunteer Project
November 17 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 9:00am on day Third of the month, repeating until March 1, 2019
Be the first!
In 1988 a group of San Franciscans began the task of creating a space for those devastated by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Volunteers worked in the grove to create the remarkable meditative space it is today. Their work continues monthly to maintain the large body of work done on the grove and plant native plants. You too can be a part of this special space in Golden Gate Park. Please wear closed toed shoes, long pants and layers. Light refreshments provided. Meet at Bowling Green Dr. and Middle Dr.
Please visit http://www.aidsmemorial.org/volunteer to register to volunteer. They ask that any groups of 3 or larger must contact the Grove at least three weeks in advance of a scheduled Community Volunteer Workday in order to confirm available space.
