Join the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department and the Port of San Francisco in our joint stewardship of Heron’s Head Park!
Heron’s Head Park is home to over 100 species of birds and an off-the-grid sustainable learning center. Heron’s Head Park offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about the historic Hunter’s Point neighborhood and its diverse open spaces. Volunteer tasks include invasive species removal, mulch application, watering and planting. Come prepared with closed-toed shoes and dress in layers. No experience necessary. Tools, training, water and light snacks are provided. Meet in the stump circle in front of the EcoCenter. You will get the opportunity to work with the Greenagers during their season from June to January.
