The Recreation and Park Department applied for two Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant opportunities in 2017 to support the 900 Innes site remediation. The Department was awarded grant funding from the Brownfields and Water Division Programs for $348,204 and $1.2 million, respectively, to help fund the clean-up of upland and subtidal areas. The $1.2M funding comes from the San Francisco Bay Water Quality Improvement Fund. Both sources of funding were made available as part of FY18/19 Department/City Budget.
Together, the project has received close to $2 million in grant funding from the EPA.
Thanks to our grant funding partners for continuing to support the remediation efforts to improve the health of the San Francisco Bay.
