Lincoln Park Golf Course, the City’s first municipal golf course was opened in 1902 with three holes (numbers 1, 12 & 13), and not until 1917 was it expanded to an 18-hole layout under the design of architect Tom Bendelow. The course measures 5,146 yards, par 68 from the back tees and 4,732, par 70 from the forward tees. Do not let the short yardage fool you as tree lined fairways, small intricate green complexes and undulating fairways provide plenty of challenges for both accomplished and novice golfers.
Lincoln Park has been the host site for the San Francisco City Championship since its inception in 1917. Now with over 600 participants annually, the event is played at both Lincoln Park and Harding Park.
One of the most spectacular experiences are the views of the Legion of Honor and vistas of the Golden Gate Bridge as you play the course.
