Kezar Pavilion

Built to complement the original Kezar Stadium, Kezar Pavilion is an impressively sized cast-in-place concrete gymnasium that seats 4,000 spectators for basketball, tennis, and other court games. The wood playing floor is sprung. The simple building design with deep arching roof corbels and multi-tone clay tile roof was based on the neo-Romanesque style. Although intended to open on July 1, 1925, the facility was not completed until 1926. Willis Polk and Company designed the pavilion with associate architects Masten, Bangs, Hurd, and Chace.

Today, Kezar Pavilion is host to a variety of sporting events and activities, including the San Francisco Bay Area Summer Pro-Am basketball league.
