A quick update: The Department recently bid the construction contract for this renovation project and we will be awarding the contract this month. The goal is to move into the construction phase of the project which is tentatively scheduled to start in July 2019. The overall construction duration is anticipated to last seven months. In addition to the capital improvements, the Department has been working with the Exploratorium to install several temporary, interactive exhibits which will help provide a friendly and engaging experience for park visitors. Last, this project will be upgrading the existing restroom building at the end of Page Street into a concession, kiosk venue where park visitors and grab a cup of coffee or cold drink. Exciting steps ahead.
