Explore Mount Davidson Park and join the Natural Resource Division in enhancing the most diverse native scrub community in the city. This recurring monthly volunteer project is on the 4th Saturday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Mount Davidson is the highest peak in San Francisco offering spectacular views of San Francisco’s skyline, bay, and the surrounding coastal mountains. This park offers habitat for numerous resident and migratory birds, butterflies, and insects - awe inspiring all year. Anyone 12 years and older is invited to join in the restoration of the reed grass prairie, scrub and grassland communities. A variety of volunteer tasks is available, at times on steep slopes. Wear close-toed shoes and appropriate clothing for physical work. Tools and gloves will be provided. Please be on time. Meet at the Bus Turnaround at the intersection of Dalewood Way and Landsdale Ave.
