Seasonal turf renovations are being carried out by park operations staff this week at Dolores Park. The north field was top dressed with 10 truckloads of soil imported from the end zones of Candlestick Park. Due to low levels of usage, the porta-potties are being removed for the months of January and February. They will be back, on or about March 1st, 2012.
New welcome signs are being installed this week in Dolores Park. These are the standard welcome and park rules signs that are used throughout the parks system. The new signs will be installed in locations at 18th and Dolores, 19th and Dolores, and 20th and Church.
It’s high season for special events in Dolores Park. Last weekend, the park hosted it’s first of the year’s movie nights.
