Sharp Park Levee Road Repairs

Sharp Park Levee Road

Beginning on Saturday February 23rd, 2012, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department (SFRPD) will begin maintenance of the levee road (also known as the sea wall) at Sharp Park. This popular coastal trail, which offers coastal access and views of the Pacific Ocean, also provides maintenance and emergency vehicle access. The road surface has not received maintenance in many years, and as such, is deeply rutted and eroding. Rock will be placed in holes to create a smooth walking and driving surface. The purpose of the project is to maintain the roadway and trail, not the armoring of the seawall. This work is expected to take up to a month to complete. Access to sections of the road / trail may be closed during construction.
