The SF Rec & Parks Dept is collaborating with the Richmond/Senator Milton Marks Branch Library on the installation of a drought tolerant demonstration garden on the 9th Avenue southwest side of the library. The neighborhood volunteers, library staff and gardeners had a wonderful time at their second gardening day on Saturday Feb 20, 2016. The garden is really starting to take shape. Thanks to all for a fun and productive workparty.
Every 3 months volunteers are working together with SFRPD gardeners to plant and extend the garden with native California and other drought resistant plants. The next Drought Tolerant Garden volunteer day will be on May 21st from 9am to 12pm. Please join us!
