Randall Construction Update

We are making great progress on the Randall Museum Renovation, which is approximately 85% complete. Although the project has experienced delays related to the new PG&E electrical service requirements, SF Rec and Park’s Project Management and Construction team is working in close collaboration with SFPUC, the construction contractor and PG&E to move forward efficiently. Installation of the new electrical service is anticipated to occur in the coming months.

While the electrical work is being completed, the contractor and museum staff are hard at work putting the finishing touches on the new exhibits, labs, classrooms, and shops.

We very much appreciate the community’s continued interest and support for the project, and thank you for your patience with the unexpected delay due to additional electrical challenges. The Department is thrilled with the outcome of the building’s new amenities thus far, and looks forward to reopening the museum later this year.
