The Recreation and Park Department is now accepting proposals for demonstration garden spaces in the Golden Gate Park CommUNITY Garden, located at Frederick/Arguello Streets!
The Golden Gate Park CommUNITY Garden is a community resource and, as such, preference is given to local organizations serving San Francisco. Qualifying organizations include, but are not limited to: schools, environmental and cultural groups, garden clubs, plant societies and businesses. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your passion in gardening and the environment, as well as the latest garden innovations.

If you have an idea and some capacity to plan, install and maintain but would like to partner with some volunteers for help maintaining the site, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org by December 1 and we will work to try to match you with support that you can then incorporate into your proposal.
Key Dates to Remember
- Proposals due December 15, 2013
- Selections made by January 15, 2014
- Installations to begin by March 1, 2014
- Installations complete by March 31, 2014
- Maintain gardens through December 31, 2014
