These two waterfront parcels were acquired by RPD as park property in June 2001. The 5.3 acres previously served as on and off ramps for the
Phase 1 of the approved master plan for this park was developed to guide future improvements and better serve the surrounding spaces and
community. The Master Plan includes the design parameters established by the community, an overall conceptual design, and a breakdown of the
phasing of the project. The initial Phase includes the renovation of block 202 (including demolition, grading and drainage, new pathways and
lighting, as well as irrigation, planting, and demolition of a pedestrian bridge connection at block 203.
