Scope of Work
This project is a full maintenance project for the replacement of the existing running track with a new rubberized surface. It also includes new shot put fines, a new drinking fountain, and a new slot drain.
In addition, we are also replacing site furnishings that include sand catchers, new take-off boards to replace the old, replacement of existing goal posts with new, renovation of the long jump area & pits and pole vault area.
Funding comes from the City’s general fund.
Construction is set to begin the 3rd week of September 2014 and is set to be completed in winter 2014 or early spring 2015. We will post updates to the blog as soon as we have the actual closing date. Thank you for your patience as we give this track a much needed face-lift.

The following has occurred onsite since the contractors mobilization on September 30th: – Temporary barriers are in place to secure the site; – Removal of the old track is substantially complete; (See attached pictures) – Additional Demo is ongoing; and – Mondo Submittal Review for the new track is ongoing.
