Glen Canyon Park is located off of O’Shaugnessy Boulevard and Elk Street. The approximately 67-acre park offers visitors a recreation center, including a gymnasium, auditorium, offices, and related amenities; a two-story Silver Tree Day Camp building; hiking trails, open space, and creek; two baseball fields; two tennis courts; a children’s play area; and a picnic area.
This project is funded by the 2012 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond and has been allocated $12 million dollars.
The new landscape around the Glen Canyon Recreation Center is nearing completion. The front and rear plazas are open and feature new lighting, decorative stone inlays, and seat walls.
