Cabrillo Playground Renovation

Cabrillo Playground Final Concept Design

For years, families within the Richmond District have flocked to Cabrillo Park to take advantage of its convenient recreational offerings. In 2008, the voters of San Francisco decided to invest over $4.5 million to improve this local favorite so that it may continue to provide a center for constructive fun and activities.

We look forward to collaborating with loyal park users and the local community in an effort to make Cabrillo Park a better center for recreation. With our combined efforts, we anticipate enhancing the parks local convenience by repairing and renovating the clubhouse, upgrading the childrens play areas, renewing the picnic areas, and improving the courts.

We are thrilled to begin working with Richmond District residents in improving a local recreation center to rival some of San Franciscos best!

Cabrillo Playground is a vital component of the Outer Richmond community. The 1-acre parcel, nestled between residences bound by Cabrillo, Fulton, 38th and 39thAvenues, offers its visitors a clubhouse, a tennis court, two basketball courts, a picnic area, and two childrens play areas.

Though the park serves mostly families within the immediate vicinity, the playground often welcomes children from neighboring areas attending nearby private schools.

We are excited to be giving this needy park the attention it deserves!.
