Portsmouth Square – January 11 Workshop Summary

Portsmouth Square Workshop 2 Bill Tatham 2076

Thanks again to everyone who came out to our forth community workshop on January 11th, where we once again had a wonderful turn out and a packed house! Since then, the design team has been vetting the concept design from a feasibility standpoint and making the necessary refinements to achieve all the desired features of the community’s vision. The evolution of this vision will be shared at our fifth and final community workshop on July 11th. The presentation from the January 11th workshop can be found on our project page under “Meeting Materials.” Here are some photos from the forth workshop:

Mayor Breed, Supervisor Peskin, and Rec and Park General Manager Phil Ginsburg each gave opening remarks, enthusiastically supporting this project and community vision. Jim Lee from SWA took us through the updated concept design for the re-design of Portsmouth Square, which incorporated community and stakeholder feedback from the previous 3 workshops.
